Eat for Impact – Terms of Use

Overview
Eat for Impact is a climate and community engagement initiative operated by Planted Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. By accessing or using materials associated with Eat for Impact, including our website, program guides, toolkits, or impact reports, you agree to the following Terms of Use ("Terms").
These Terms govern participation in and usage of Eat for Impact programming. Planted Society may update these Terms at any time. Continued access to our materials or engagement with the initiative constitutes acceptance of any revisions.
Use of Materials
All content provided by Eat for Impact, including but not limited to educational materials, branding, logos, recipes, toolkits, methodology, and impact data, is the intellectual property of Planted Society and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.
You may not:
Copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or publicly display Eat for Impact materials without written permission.
Create derivative programs, campaigns, or events using Eat for Impact branding, structure, or methodology.
Use Eat for Impact branding, logos, or name to imply affiliation or endorsement without approval from Planted Society.
Program Participation
Eat for Impact may include partnerships with local governments, businesses, and organizations. Participation in any affiliated event or campaign must align with the core values of the initiative. These values include expanding access to climate-friendly, plant-rich foods and driving measurable environmental and community impact.
Participants and partners agree to:
Use accurate, evidence-based language when representing the initiative.
Avoid misleading claims about environmental impact, health outcomes, or organizational affiliation.
Uphold the integrity of Planted Society’s impact measurement methods.
Restaurant and Partner Conduct
Participating restaurants and other partners must:
Accurately represent their involvement in Eat for Impact and any plant-rich menu offerings.
Avoid making health or sustainability claims that are not supported by data from Planted Society or other credible sources.
Comply with all relevant health, safety, and advertising laws.
Planted Society is not responsible for the actions, marketing, or operations of third-party partners.
Data and Impact Reporting
Planted Society calculates environmental impact using a standardized methodology based on reliable environmental data sources. These estimates are used to inform the public and participating communities about potential reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and water usage.
We do not guarantee specific outcomes from individual participation. Providing false or misleading data in connection with Eat for Impact is prohibited.
Prohibited Use
You may not:
Use Eat for Impact materials or the program name to promote commercial, personal, or political interests.
Claim endorsement by Planted Society without written consent.
Misrepresent your involvement, environmental outcomes, or organizational role in the initiative.
Limitation of Liability
Eat for Impact is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. Planted Society does not guarantee the uninterrupted availability of its website, materials, or communications.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Planted Society will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of Eat for Impact materials or participation in the initiative.
Termination and Enforcement
Planted Society may suspend or revoke access to its materials or partnerships at any time if these Terms are violated or if representation of the initiative is inconsistent with its mission.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States.
